Combining one of the oldest medical systems in the world with the knowledge of modern western biomedicine. Sterile, single use, hair thin acupuncture needles are used to stimulate specific points on the body determined by your medical presentation and symptoms. Stimulation of points can release tight muscles, improve blood circulation increasing flow of oxygen and nutrients, and release pain-relieving endorphins and other molecules that stimulate the body’s natural healing mechanisms. Although the sensation experienced during acupuncture is variable, acupuncture is not considered painful. Most patients feel deeply relaxed and calm during their treatment, and often energized afterward.
-
Gentle electrical stimulation may be applied to the needles to further stimulate the point and increase effectiveness. The frequency and intensity of the electric impulse can be adjusted depending on the condition being treated, and different frequencies stimulate the release of different endogenous endorphins which are the body’s natural pain killers. Electroacupuncture is frequently used in the treatment of musculoskeletal pain, for neurological disorders and in the treatment of scar tissue.

Also known as Facial or Aesthetic Acupuncture, is a gentle, safe, non-invasive, non-surgical, natural, and holistic approach to skincare focused on improving the appearance and health of the face. Needles used in facial acupuncture are thinner than those used for general acupuncture. They are placed in points chosen to help stimulate collagen production, tone facial muscles, and stimulate blood flow. The potential benefits of facial acupuncture include:
• Reduction in fine lines and wrinkles
• Improved skin elasticity and firmness
• Softening of skin and reduction of puffiness
• Lightening of dark undereye circles
• Reduced inflammation associated with acne and rosacea flareups
• Fading of age spots, sun damage and scars
• Brightening of the complexionFacial rejuvenation is combined with a full body acupuncture treatment which initiates constitutional rejuvenation, bringing balance to the body and enhancing the skin’s health and appearance from within. Facial rejuvenation is a gradual process and multiple sessions are usually recommended for optimal results.

This system of acupuncture uses points on the outer ear to relieve pain, stress, and tension. Ear acupuncture may be used by itself as a complete system of diagnosis and treatment, or frequently it is incorporated into a traditional acupuncture treatment. Several sensory nerves innervate the external ear including a branch of the vagus nerve. Stimulating points on the ear can help regulate sympathetic and parasympathetic tone which helps calm the nervous system. Acupuncture Detox is a five needle auriculotherapy protocol called NADA (National Acupuncture Detoxification Association) used for trauma, PTSD, addiction recovery, and mental health conditions.
-
A special lamp used in conjunction with acupuncture treatment emits infrared radiation to penetrate the body’s tissues. The gentle heat from the lamp helps promote circulation, improve tissue repair, and reduce pain and inflammation.
-
A TCM technique that involves burning of the dried herb mugwort near specific acupuncture points to increase blood circulation and increase effectiveness of the treatment.
-
An ancient technique in which cups are placed on the skin (usually the back) applying negative pressure suction that pulls up the skin and fascia resulting in improved blood circulation and fascial glide, removal of toxins, reduction in pain and muscle tension, and improvement in respiratory congestion.
